Nodame Cantabile

It has been a long time since i watched an anime, perhaps way back in highschool but i got hyped again watching an anime when i saw nodame cantabile on animax. when i first saw it, i instantly got hooked on it and watched that episode (4th) til the end. i'm not usually entertained by animes or cartoons anymore but this one just attracted me to watch it. well, i wasn't disapointed when i started tuning on it until the last episode. i like the concept of the anime, more than a romance story, it has a bit of comedy, drama and especially, orchestra music which brought some depth to the story and the characters. watching it also made my knowledge about orchestra music somewhat a bit deeper, that orchestra is more than excellent performers playing instruments together, more than pieces composed by classical musicians, but it's how the orchestra or a soloist share the emotion of the musical piece together and translating it to a beautiful sensory audio that evokes as well the emotion and imagination of the audience (at least that's what i learned from the anime).

i was surprised to find out that it was based from an anime when i researched it on the internet (i guess i shouldn't have since almost all animes are based from mangas). what more is that it has a live-action or drama version. i watched it right away and again was suprised how close every scene was with the anime. i also read a couple of series from the original manga and i thought how the anime and drama was so faithful to the original story. i mean it's not just the story but as well as the scene and line from the manga. well, there were little variations from the anime/ manga with the drama but those tweaks made the drama a lot better and somewhat affecting. the acting of the cast was also good and really entertaining to watch. the acting of ueno juri (nodame) is really good. she was able to capture the weird character of nodame but she made her a lot more charismatic. i also love the orchestra hall where they performed in the drama version, it was so beautiful and elegant.

i guess, i almost love everything about nodame cantabile, not just the story/ manga/ anime/ drama but the anime ost as well. i like the opening and ending song, allegro cantabile &; sagittarius by suemitsu &;; the suemith and crystal kay's, konna chikaku de.
